Young men from the reservations were drafted to the state of war and others volunteered providing them a chance to access technical training, meet whites of assorted backgrounds, and were held in high esteem by others owing to the legend of tough Native American warrior. For once, they felt part of the American fabric and also they accessed the opportunity to access well-paying jobs owing to labor shortage during the war. The war opened the way for access to education, readjustment money, employment opportunities, and success by the native tribes
